The landscape design is a perfect complement to the architectural vernacular of the modernist mid-century style house, offering balance and transition between indoor and outdoor living that commences at the streetscape extending through internal foyers into the various outdoor zones.
The approach has been to emphasise and articulate the various outdoor spaces as “rooms”, defining these areas through level changes, feature planting and full height stone clad walls. This creates a series of interlinked outdoor spaces, flexible for family recreational use that also provides enhanced views for the associated indoor rooms.

Long views out to the Brisbane River and the CBD have been orchestrated to take advantage of the residence’s aspect and location whilst incorporating future screening to neighbouring properties as the garden matures.

Simple yet dramatic, the sculptural forms of cactus and succulent plants, combined with the materiality of stone, gravel and concrete, create an aesthetical, sustainable and functional landscape that provides all year-round climatic outdoor living.
