Retire Australia’s vision was to maintain a bowling green as part of the new project, offering residents the opportunity to take part in active recreation but also to promote a sense of community and interaction between residents.

The central podium terrace offers residents plenty of open space to interact. A network of pathways amongst subtropical podium planting of trees, shrubs and groundcovers and turf areas for yoga classes are combined with a BBQ area, children’s playground and a productive garden corner.

There is also a pathway network surrounding the building where residents can experience heightened sensory stimulation and connections to nature amongst gardens. Sections of these walkways are boardwalks which were selected to minimise impact of existing mature trees.
