The landscape design is responsive to the surrounding vegetation taking cues from adjacent tree species colours and the micro-climatic zones created from Moray St down to the river’s edge.
The significant trees (Ficus, Jacaranda and Eucalypt) in close proximity to the site inform the character of the planting as a zoned approach from the top of the access-way down to the river.
The Jacaranda’s splash of colour during spring is reflected in the elevated gardens, and proposed vegetation will have hints of purple and deep green leaves that will cascade off the edge of the planters.
